Why a window shading system makes sense.
Sun Or Shade understands
comfort from your office or home within the confines of a
budget.nbsp; If you've ever stood by a window
on a sunny day or a cold night, then you know that windows
have a lot to do with how comfortable your home or office
feels.
Did you know…? A
roller shade reduces heat exchange by as much as 25% - 28%.
By adding side tracks or closures to seal the shade to the
window frame, heat exchange can be reduced by almost 45%.

Heat moves from warmer to colder
areas and will enter through a window on a warmer
day but escape through a window on a cold night. Heat travels
via three different methods. The first way is Radiation.
Sunlight is radiation, and most of it passes directly through
glass, warming the objects on the other side. The second method,
Conduction, occurs when heat is transmitted through
an object. Glass is a good conductor, and transmits heat from
warm air that touches it. Convection, the thrid,
happens when heat is stirred by moving air.
Any common window treatment is an
effective energy saver when properly installed and
used. The shade blocks air flow and forms an insulating layer
of air between the shade application and the window. An effective
window treatment, such as a SOS™ rollershade that incorporates
one of several fabric options and optimized motorized choices,
will pay for itself in less than two years though heating
and cooling cost savings.
In summer, shades should
be lowered on sunlit windows to reduce solar heating. In winter,
shades –specifically on the south side of a building
- should be raised during the day to increase solar heating,
and then lowered at night to reduce heat loss.
Protect Your Investments!
Chairs, Carpet, Flooring, Woodwork, etc can dry rot due to
sun damage, and fade from UV exposure. Products sitting on
the shelves and advertisements located in direct sunlight
may also fade or accrue damage resulting in short shelf life
and potential lost profits. Create a comfortable environment
through reducing glare on computer screens, television screens,
and cash registers. Save on heating and cooling costs with
zero effort using automated motorized controls.
Each window is unique and
so should the shading system. When selecting a window treatment
you should choose the kind of system which best solves the
issue of heat gain/loss and glare control. Consider fabric
type or color, shade accessibility and functionality, mechanical/fixed/motorized,
etc. when choosing a window shades.
Sun Or Shade™
has the system for you.
