Condensed Specs.
Part 1 General
1.01 Section Includes
A. Motorized dual rollershade system for room
darkening/light control and hardware.
1.02 System Description
A. Motor operated rollershades.
B. Shade Type T is translucent. Shade Type O is
opaque.
1.03 Submittals
A. Product data: Submit five copies of manufacturers
technical data and installations instructions.
B. Samples: Submit three samples of each shade
cloth with complete color swatch.
C. Shop Drawings: Submit drawings of mechanical
products with appropriate dimensions.
1.04 Quality Assurance
A. The manufacturer of these products shall show
a minimum of 20 years documented experience.
B. The installer shall show a minimum of 3 years
experience with these systems.
Part 2 Products
2.01 Manufacturers

2.02 Materials
A. Shade Fabrics: Flame Retardant (DIN 4102 B1,
NFPA 701, Dept. of Transportation Motor Vehicle
Safety Standard MVSS 302 and California Administrative
Code Title 19), 100% Trevira with openness factor
(o.f.) properties between 0%, ½%, 5%, 25%.
All fabrics are metallisized with aluminum adhesion
per ISO 2409 to classification 0, color fastness
per ISO 105-BO2 to greater than 5 for color, formaldehyde
and PVC free, and inherently anti-static/repellant
to dust. 1. Verosol
B. Tube: Shade Fabric Type T shall be mounted
on to 32mm diameter aluminum tube and Shade Fabric
Type O shall be mounted on a 29mm aluminum tube.
Custom sized stubs available when dictated by
size of shade composition.
C. Motor Control Systems: All systems utilize
a Somfy motor or group of motors, “world’s
largest manufacturer of tubular motors”.
All motors are thermally protected, totally enclosed
and maintenance free. (SOMFY UL approved motors
can be found in the following file numbers: E60495,
E60888, E63714) Each Motor is selected appropriately
to operate each shade based on size and weight.
All systems utilize low voltage controls.
Electrical
requirements: 24VDC, one phase 60 hertz. .35 Amp
Motor Control Options:
1. IGC-DC System: This system allows the user
to operate shades as a group or individually.
This allows the user to have individual window
control, room control and/or total building control.
2. GC-DC System: This system allows the user to
operate all the shades as one single group. There
is no individual control.
D. Fascia Cassette: All fascia systems shall be
prime painted with baked enamel utilizing the
powder paint method to ensure an environmental
friendly application. Wet paint method shall not
be accepted.
E. Shade Mounting Brackets: Shall be manufactured
from steel, universal for inside and outside mounting.
Brackets shall snap easily onto cassette system
once fastened to opening.
F. Hembar: Shall be a continuous aluminum bar
3/4” X 1/8” with sufficient weight
to allow the shade to close without buckling or
sagging.
G. Side (Sill) Channels (Option): Dual extruded
.062” aluminum channel through which each
side of each shade travels to create blackout
application. The rails shall contain soft brushes
on a minimum of one side depending on application
to enclose the fabric shade in a light tight condition.
The side and bottom channels should be installed
in a light bead of caulking to prevent light penetration.
